Overview
The Faculty of Engineering & Design is seeking a generous leader to be appointed as Deputy Director for the Centre for Bioengineering & Biomedical Technologies (CBio). This role will be the centerpiece of the Faculty's 2021‑26 research strategy, helping to lead the research centre, fostering a diverse and inclusive community of academic, research and technical staff and PGR students, to tackle the societal, environmental and economic grand challenges of our world.
Responsibilities
The Deputy Director will lead the Centre with a workload of 100‑150 hours on the WAM, allocated through mutual agreement with responsibilities agreed with CBio's leadership team. Key responsibilities include:
* Stakeholder engagement with external clinical, industrial, regulatory, policy, patient groups, potential partners, and the general public.
* Promoting an inclusive culture where every individual is valued and respected, encouraging team adaptability and evolution.
The Faculty will provide substantial administrative support, including business development, marketing/web expertise and funding to develop the Centre's activities.
