We are looking for an experienced Civil Craftsperson to join our team.
As a craftsperson you will undertake running repairs to electrical substation buildings and enclosures.
This will typically include the following activity types; painting, fencing, carpentry, brick laying, small roofing, small wiring, windows / glazing and any other adhoc activities that will assist in the installation, repair, and upkeep of operational buildings within SSEN.
You will:
* Carry out risk assessments and follow Lone Working Procedures; stop work if health and safety rules are breached and escalate immediate risks promptly.
* Apply correct Health and Safety risk assessments to mitigate hazards effectively.
* Plan and perform tasks such as painting, fencing, carpentry, bricklaying, small roofing/wiring, glazing, and other building upkeep activities under ESQCR regulations.
* Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations when working with external contractors and report issues to the civils compliance coordinator or team manager.
* Represent SSE professionally, respond to enquiries, and monitor satisfaction to deliver world-class service.
You have:
* Proven Background in a construction trade
* Ability to work alone
* A good level of Health and Safety awareness
* Excellent communication skill and the ability of speak with people at all levels
* IT skills to enable the recording and updating of all required data.
