? The Role
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a key role in guiding pupils through an important stage of their early education, delivering engaging lessons and supporting them as they prepare for the transition into Key Stage 2.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the Year 2 curriculum
* Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
* Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
* Differentiate teaching to support a range of learning needs
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and senior leadership
* Engage in ongoing CPD and contribute to wider school initiatives
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
* Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs
* Secure knowledge of the National Curriculum
* Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
* Confidence in using technology to enhance learning
