After completing our unique training program, you will utilize your healthcare skills to assess cases of individuals applying for PIP or WCA benefits and prepare fair, accurate reports as part of the DWP's Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS).
Our roles offer opportunities to change direction while maintaining and developing your clinical registration, skills, and knowledge within a structured Monday - Friday contract.
There are numerous opportunities for development within the PFAS team, including clinical coaching, training roles, and Clinical Support Manager positions.
Position:
As a Disability Assessor, you will interview claimants to understand their challenges. Through thorough assessments via telephone, video call, or face-to-face, you will evaluate how their disability, condition, or illness impacts daily functioning, always in a respectful, non-biased, and reassuring manner.

£39,500

Full time:
37.5 hours (9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday)
Requirements:
With proven experience in a medical background, you will:
* Analyze information critically to produce accurate and concise reports.
* Interpret clinical information and evidence.
* Maintain professional standards in written communication and adhere to the code of conduct.
* Provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues, meeting quality and productivity targets.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
* A minimum of 12 months of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional (listed below)
* Broad clinical knowledge demonstration
* Experience using computer software including Microsoft Office
Essential Qualifications (applications without these will not be considered):
Nurses:
* Qualified Nurse RGN, RMN, or RNLD
* Member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN)
Physios/OTs:
* Qualified Chartered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist
* Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
* Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) or College of OT’s (COT)
Experience we seek:
A minimum of 12 months HCPC or NMC experience, including:
* Orthopaedic experience (acute and elective)
* Pre-assessment experience (surgical/orthopaedic)
* Experience with patients with mental health, physical problems, or neurological conditions
* Broad clinical experience in various areas
* Experience in ITU units
