Role Description
Allianz Engineering Inspection Services is looking for an experienced Engineer Surveyor with strong knowledge of the Lift and Crane discipline to join our global insurance company. The role involves carrying out inspections and assessments of plant, equipment and installations to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Responsibilities
* Anticipate our client's needs and ensure they comply with relevant legislation.
* Work closely with your Engineer Surveyor Team, managed by a Senior Operations Team Leader.
* Prepare inspection reports electronically for fast and efficient delivery to our clients.
* Carry out hands‑on inspections of lifts, material handling equipment, cranes and construction plant.
* Work physically demanding tasks, including working at height, in confined spaces, lifting, climbing and handling exposure to noise and dust.
Salary Information
Starting salary £44,213 + Company Car and a comprehensive reward package.
About You
* Up‑to‑date knowledge and understanding of lift and crane compliance and regulatory rules.
* Make well‑informed decisions and take responsibility.
* Effective short, medium and long‑term planning and scheduling.
* Capable of travelling effectively within your allocated work area.
* Process documentation and undertake general administration promptly.
* Support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors as required.
* Passionate about engineering and self‑driven with strong client interaction skills.
* Background with lifts, cranes, material handling equipment and hands‑on experience in manufacturing / repair / maintenance.
Essential Skills
* NVQ Level 3 or above in a mechanical related subject.
* Full valid UK driving licence.
* Strong time‑management skills – self‑sufficiently organise weekly work.
* Comfortable using tablets and smartphones as part of daily work.
Desirable Skills
* Incorporated Engineer.
