Role Summary

Healthcare Science Associate - Band 4 | Devon

Are you looking for the next step in your career or considering relocating to the beautiful rural surroundings of North Devon? Enjoy working just minutes away from stunning beaches and areas of outstanding natural beauty. The cardio-respiratory department at Northern Devon District Hospital is recruiting for a Healthcare Science Associate (formerly Senior Cardiographer) to join the cardiac physiology team.

North Devon offers an excellent quality of life, with miles of beaches and scenic countryside. Our small but busy department provides a wide range of non-invasive investigations. We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and hardworking Healthcare Science Associate to join us.

The role primarily focuses on ambulatory Holter analyses and reporting cardiac arrhythmias, as well as supporting cardiac physiologists in exercise tolerance tests. Flexible working options are available, including the possibility to work from home one day per week. There are also opportunities for training in respiratory diagnostics, spirometry, and pulmonary function tests.

Our department offers a comprehensive range of non-invasive investigations including ECG, ambulatory monitoring, physiologist-led exercise tolerance tests, Pacing and ICD follow-up, and a large remote monitoring service covering the north and west of the county.

Recently merged with Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, which provides invasive diagnostics and therapies such as cardiac angiography, angioplasty, EP procedures, and device implants, our department benefits from close links with this larger hospital.
