The NHS Highland Cardiac Physiology service is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Principal Cardiac Physiologist to lead and manage an experienced and dedicated team. This post is one of two lead roles with joint responsibility for the service. The role is Non‑Invasive Lead and principally responsible as lead specialist of the echocardiography service, including day‑to‑day operational management, as well as overseeing other non‑invasive physiology and support services.
Responsibilities:
* Lead specialist of the echocardiography service
* Day‑to‑day operational management of non‑invasive services
* Oversee other non‑invasive physiology and support services
* Contribute to clinical service provision and education programme for existing and new staff
Qualifications:
* Hold a BSc in Cardiac Physiology (equivalent qualification acceptable with suitable knowledge training and experience)
* Registration with appropriate professional bodies including British Society of Echocardiography or equivalent
* Significant post‑qualification clinical echocardiography practice
* Proven management, team leadership and service improvement experience
