The purpose of this role will be to provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy service to inpatient and community teams, ensuring high quality, safe, effective, legal and accurate use of medicines within each speciality. The successful candidate will support the development of better medicines management understanding throughout the organisation and promote good practice in line with National and local guidelines. They will support the Chief Pharmacist in maintaining and improving the pharmaceutical service to Navigo and be responsible for the delivery of an agreed standard of pharmaceutical care to identified patients in order to achieve the safe and cost effective use. They will support patients and carers to gain maximum benefit from their medicines through medicines related consultations. Experience of working within a hospital pharmacy department is desirable, although applications from pharmacists working within the community sector and newly qualified pharmacists are welcome. The ability to travel independently is essential as visits to other external sites will be required.
