Job Description Planner – Warrington Contract – Full time hybrid working 3 days office / 2 days remote Project Overview: The project entails the detailed design, procurement, manufacture, works testing, delivery to site, installation and commissioning of a complex system for cutting access holes into the silo that include shielded access doors, a robotic waste retrieval arm, waste transporters, and repackaging plants. The team also is utilizing virtual reality and mock-up training facilities to enhance operations. Job Summary: In this role, you will work with the project team to prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations. You will apply established unit job hour and pricing data, perform schedule integrations, prepare work logic, identify restraints and potential impacts, develop recovery plans, and evaluate subcontractor schedules for improvements. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects stay on track and on time. Major Responsibilities: Conducts capital cost estimates Reviews design scope criteria and develop quantities for undefined scope assumptions in coordination with other stakeholders/departments Participates in establishing pricing structures to be applied to quantities for estimates Conducts detail pricing for non-manual labour service using functional staffing and other direct cost (ODC) inputs Develops pricing/rates to apply to non-manual staffing in support of project-specific requirements Prepares estimate basis and assumption documentation for their area of responsibility in support of overall estimate development Supports complex order of magnitude (OOM) estimates Prepares cost studies, trend estimates, and life cycle cost estimates in specialized areas or in specialized discipline area Identifies risk items and assigns risk levels to portions of the project work and identifies measures to mitigate risk in area of responsibility Interfaces with designated management personnel on specific sections of estimate presentations Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: Experience in a customer-facing role Proficient user of Primavera Nuclear experience Preferred Knowledge and Skills: Complex nuclear decommissioning programmes Cost estimating experience Sellafield experience Experience of business case preparation and presentation
