A Body Repair Apprentice works alongside experienced vehicle body repair technicians to learn how to repair damaged cars and light commercial vehicles. The role combines hands-on workshop training with classroom or college-based learning, usually leading to a recognised qualification in vehicle body repair â¢\tAssist technicians with vehicle body repairs and panel replacement \nâ¢\tPrepare damaged vehicles for repair work \nâ¢\tLearn how to remove, repair, and fit body panels and components \nâ¢\tSand, fill, and prepare surfaces for painting \nâ¢\tUse workshop tools and equipment safely and correctly \nâ¢\tCarry out basic repair tasks under supervision \nâ¢\tHelp maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop \nâ¢\tFollow health and safety procedures and company standards \nâ¢\tSupport vehicle inspections and damage assessments \nâ¢\tComplete apprenticeship training, coursework, and practical assessments \nâ¢\tWork as part of a team to meet repair deadlines and quality standards \nâ¢\tLearn customer service and professional workplace practices â¢\tA genuine interest in vehicle repair and the automotive industry\nâ¢\tWillingness to learn and develop new skills\nâ¢\tGood attention to detail\nâ¢\tReliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude\nâ¢\tAbility to work well within a team\nâ¢\tGCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English are desirable but not essential
