Electrician – Lighting & Electrical Projects
Location: Edinburgh (with travel and night work required)

About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our dynamic team, working on lighting and electrical projects across the retail, commercial, industrial, and public sectors.
This is a hands-on role for a motivated individual who can deliver high-quality LED lighting installations, minor works, and testing/inspection. The majority of work will be carried out during night shifts and may require staying away from home during the week (Monday to Friday).
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out LED lighting and general electrical installations across various commercial environments
2. Read and interpret electrical drawings, installation layouts, and circuit diagrams
3. Work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and the wider Lighting Project Team to meet deadlines
4. Ensure all work meets high quality standards — right first time, with minimal rework
5. Maintain and complete job-related documentation accurately and on time
6. Take responsibility for health and safety on-site and ensure compliance with all H&S legislation
7. Maintain care of company vehicle and materials provided
8. Undertake any additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager
Essential Requirements
9. Fully qualified to 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (-18)
10. Valid UK Driving Licence
11. Willingness and ability to work nights and stay away from home (Mon–Fri)
12. Able to work at heights (up to 3 metres) and lift weights of up to 25kg
13. Strong understanding of health and safety practices
14. Excellent communication and customer service skills
15. Ability to manage and prioritise tasks independently
16. Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to evolving technology
17. Self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
Desirable Qualifications (Training Provided Where Required)
18. -52 Test & Inspection certification
19. SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
20. IPAF (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms)
21. PASMA (Mobile Tower Access)
22. Experience or knowledge of EV charging installations
