Are you an experienced electrical engineer looking to take the next step in your career, contributing to some of the most exciting and sustainable projects in the UK and beyond? We€re looking for passionate, technically driven engineers to join our national Building Services team.
About the Role
As a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering innovative, efficient, and sustainable building services designs across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, education, transport, commercial, defence, and critical infrastructure.
You'll work collaboratively with architects, structural engineers, and project managers, using your technical expertise to shape the built environment and help deliver low-carbon, future-ready design solutions.
Depending on your level, you'll lead elements of design delivery, coordinate multi-disciplinary input, mentor junior team members, and contribute to project and client management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to the design and specification of electrical building services systems
Deliver technical solutions from concept through to detailed design and construction support
Provide input into sustainability and net zero carbon strategies
Manage projects, budgets, and client expectations where appropriate
Mentor and support junior engineers, promoting a culture of technical excellence
Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements, technical standards, and client objectives
Collaborate effectively within multi disciplinary design teams
About You
You're a technically strong engineer with a passion for problem-solving and innovation. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy finding smarter, more sustainable ways to make buildings work better for people and the planet.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
Chartered, or working towards Chartered status (IET or CIBSE)
Proven experience in building services electrical design across multiple project stages
Working knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and design tools (Amtech, Dialux/Relux, Revit, etc.)
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and colleagues
