About the Role
The Accounts Assistant will carry out various accounting and administrative tasks with the overall purpose of ensuring that financial transactions are carried out, recorded and controlled in an accurate, timely and secure manner. This position is ideal for an enthusiastic, talented individual with good organisation and a keen eye for detail who is looking to begin a career within accounting and finance.
Responsibilities
* End-to-end processing and reconciliation of monthly corporate credit card statements and cash expenses using a bespoke platform.
* Liaising confidently with staff to ensure expense submissions and credit card receipts are provided accurately and on time.
* Performing monthly reconciliations for relevant balance sheet nominals and bank accounts.
* Reviewing and auditing flight bookings to ensure correct internal approvals and trip allocations.
* Assisting the Treasury function with foreign currency management, ensuring timely availability and accurate finance system reconciliation for travelers.
* Processing monthly management accounts and nominal reconciliations based on data from overseas offices.
* Managing all invoice processing, payments, and timely reconciliations for Qwest Maritime Limited.
Qualifications
* A degree in a finance-related discipline (desirable).
* At least 1 year of experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
* Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise effectively with both financial and non-financial colleagues.
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy when managing high volumes of data.
* Good level of MS Excel experience.
* Ambitious, enthusiastic, and driven to undertake further professional training and development.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
