Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) in Urgent Care. Waterside Primary Care Network (PCN) is expanding its Clinical Team.
We are seeking to recruit a positive, caring and self-motivated individual to take on the role and work in our Urgent Care Centre (UCC).
Main duties of the job
As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) you will be a leading example of clinical excellence, with a minimum of two years experience, supporting colleagues in the department, and providing advanced level clinical assessment and care. With a range of diagnostics available to aid your clinical examination, the Urgent Care Centre environment is an ideal place to consolidate previous experience of Emergency Department, Walk in Centres, GP Practices or OOH environments.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse
* Post graduate diploma or degree (Advanced Practice Qualification)
* Qualified Nurse Prescriber
* Qualified Triage Nurse
* Teaching Qualification
* ALS, PALS
Experience
* Experience of patients presenting with urgent and unscheduled care conditions
* Clinical Knowledge & Skills
* Wound Care / Removal of sutures & staples
* ECGs
* Venepuncture
* New patient medicals
* Chaperone procedure
* Requesting pathology tests and processing the results, advising patients accordingly
* Diabetes
* Asthma
* CHD
* Understands the importance of evidence based practice
* Broad knowledge of clinical governance
* Ability to record accurate clinical notes
* Ability to work within own scope of practice and understanding when to refer to GPs
* Knowledge of public health issues in the local area
* Awareness of issues within the wider health arena
* Knowledge of health promotion strategies
* Understands the requirement for PGDs and associated policy
