Team – Supplier Performance
Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Stockport or Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week. Top 3 skills needed for this role:
1. Supplier Relationship Management- Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers to drive mutual success Performance & Quality Monitoring- Skilled in tracking KPIs, SLAs, and quality metrics to ensure suppliers meet agreed standards. Contract & Compliance Management- Understanding of contractual terms and the ability to ensure supplier adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

As a Supplier Performance Manager, you’re at the heart of creating outstanding experiences for our customers. Your role isn’t just about managing contracts-it’s about building strong, trusted relationships with our suppliers and inspiring them to deliver their very best.
You’ll work hand-in-hand with teams across the business to make sure suppliers consistently meet their commitments, tackle challenges head-on, and find smarter ways to improve service and efficiency. By combining strategic thinking with a focus on operational excellence, you’ll help shape a supply base that’s resilient, high-performing, and ready to exceed expectations.
Key Actions
2. Create strong supplier partnerships and develop supplier engagement
3. Manage supplier performance, delivery, quality, and risk in line with contractual requirements
4. Ensure consistent compliance with contractual terms and proactively address issues, risks, and controls within the established governance framework
5. Develop and implement strategies to optimise supplier performance and achieve cost savings
6. Analyse financial data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and value
7. Foster strong cross-functional relationships with internal teams supported by suppliers, collaborating to drive process improvements and enhance supplier performance
8. Oversee the end-to-end delivery of improvement initiatives, ensuring effective implementation and measurable outcomes
9. Lead regular service and quality reviews, providing clear analysis and actionable insights on supplier performance to stakeholders, including executive leadership
What do you need to thrive?
10. Ability to build and sustain strong partnerships with suppliers, fostering engagement and collaboration.
11. Competence in analysing supplier performance data, financial metrics, and identifying areas for improvement or cost savings.
12. Strong skills in identifying issues, developing effective solutions, and ensuring timely resolution to maintain service quality.
13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to a range of stakeholders, including executive leadership.
14. Experience working closely with internal teams to drive process improvement initiatives and enhance supplier performance.
15. Ability to lead and implement improvement initiatives from conception to conclusion and demonstration of benefit.
16. Knowledge of governance frameworks and experience in maintaining risk and control standards across supplier relationships.
17. Proficiency in conducting regular service and quality reviews, delivering clear and actionable insights to stakeholders.
