About the Role
As part of the programme, you will work as a Cover Supervisor in a Cambridge secondary school. This is a full-time, term-time role designed to immerse you in school life while helping you develop the core competencies needed to become a successful teacher.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supervising whole classes during teacher absences using pre-set lesson materials
* Supporting students with their work and encouraging active participation
* Maintaining a positive learning environment and managing classroom behaviour
* Providing feedback to teaching staff about lesson outcomes and student engagement
* Working closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and pastoral staff
* Assisting with small group interventions or targeted support when required
You won’t be expected to plan lessons or mark work — the focus is on classroom management, supervision, and professional growth.

* Salary: £22,000 – £25,000 per year
* Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
* Contract: Full-time, term-time only
