We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in Birmingham. As Maintenance Engineer, your role will be to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment within their manufacturing facility. You will need to be proficient in mechanical, electrical, and robotics systems to support continuous production and minimise downtime.
Maintenance Engineer key responsibilities:
Working rotating shifts (am, pm and nights - 5 days/4 nights)
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all machinery and equipment (including robotics, lasers, ancillary and material handling equipment)
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults promptly
Collaborate with the production team to improve machine performance and efficiency
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance within a fast-moving, high quality manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of robotics systems (KUKA, Fanuc etc)
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
Understanding of IATF16949/ISO9001
