The Housing Renewals and Adaptation service is seeking a qualified and motivated surveyor to join a grants agency team. The role involves administering Disabled Facilities Grants and other housing assistance programs, including Repair Loans and Empty Property Grants.
The main duties include conducting property surveys, preparing drawings, schedules of work, specifications, and tender documentation. The surveyor will also allocate jobs to contractors, conduct inspections, arrange payments, and manage scheme accounts.
The successful candidate will liaise with clients, tenants, contractors, statutory bodies, and partner agencies. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Requirements include qualifications in building construction, relevant experience in building surveying roles, knowledge of current construction and health and safety legislation, CAD skills, and experience in preparing disabled adaptation schemes and repair schedules.
