Coffee Shop Supervisor – Thomas Franks Ltd, Hereford
Employment type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £29,500
Hours: 40 per week
Responsibilities
* Manage stock levels and order goods efficiently.
* Train and develop team members.
* Complete monthly audits.
* Ensure food standards and waste control are met.
* Enforce Food Hygiene, Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures.
* Ensure staff attend on time and wear clean, appropriate uniform.
* Maintain required service standards.
* Prepare and re‑allocate duties via weekly service rota.
* Complete daily cleaning and Health & Safety check lists.
* Prepare service areas for each meal/service.
* Restock and replenish stocks and consumables during service periods.
* Notify kitchen of ingredient shortages to avoid delays.
* Operate cleaning and dishwashing equipment, properly clean and store equipment and areas.
* Serve customers, visitors and guests in line with company and client standards.
* Work additional hours on rota for lettings, functions and school events.
* Check special dietary requirements for pupils and staff daily.
* Liaise with the Executive/Duty Chef to arrange catering for functions and events.
* Attend daily menu briefing and communicate to front‑of‑house team.
General Responsibilities
* Attend all staff meetings as required.
* Adhere to all policies and procedural requirements of legislation and company.
* Wear correct uniform at all times.
* Conduct food temperature checks in service and associated areas.
* Carry out reasonable requests from management.
* Maintain Health & Safety vigilance and report hazards.

o Previous experience in coffee shop or catering environment.
