A well-established, medium-sized M&E / HVAC contractor is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their growing team. They deliver high-quality commercial projects across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas and have a strong reputation for technical excellence, reliability and long-term client relationships.
This role is ideal for a hands-on Contracts Manager who enjoys taking ownership, working closely with clients, and keeping projects running smoothly from start to finish. An M&E background is not essential.
The Role
You’ll oversee multiple projects from handover through to completion, ensuring strong commercial performance, safe delivery, and excellent client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage several live projects simultaneously.
* Oversee project delivery from pre-start to final account.
* Chair progress meetings with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
* Manage subcontractor performance, procurement, and supply chain coordination.
* Handle commercial duties: variations, valuations, cost control, and forecasting.
* Ensure projects meet programme, quality, and H&S requirements.
* Maintain accurate documentation and regular reporting.
About You
We’re looking for a commercially astute, organised, and proactive Contracts Manager who can represent our client professionally and keep multiple projects progressing efficiently.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager (Minimum experience levels will be reviewed)
* Experience with variations, valuations, forecasting and commercial reporting.
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
* Knowledge of Bedfordshire and the regional supply chain.
* A practical, hands-on approach and good communication skills.
