Make a Real Difference in Neurorehabilitation
A specialist neurorehabilitation service in Horsham is looking for a Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join their experienced multidisciplinary team. The service supports adults with acquired brain injuries in a residential setting, helping them regain lost skills and achieve meaningful recovery.
You’ll work alongside a committed team of rehabilitation support workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and fellow SaLTs – all focused on providing expert, person-centred care.
The Role
As a Senior Specialist SaLT, your responsibilities will include:
* Working autonomously within the MDT
* Assessing and managing communication and swallowing needs
* Supporting individuals and their social networks to overcome barriers
* Developing communication and dysphagia management plans
* Delivering training to staff and families
* Contributing to service and organisational development
About You
You’ll need:
* A degree in Speech & Language Therapy
* HCPC registration
* Dysphagia competencies
* Specialist knowledge in ABI-related communication interventions
* Experience managing complex dysphagia within adult neurology
* At least 4 years post-qualification experience with complex cases
