Role Overview
We are seeking a Construction Manager to provide construction expertise and input during constructability and HAZOP/HAZCON reviews. The successful candidate will deliver fit-for-purpose construction work scopes aligned with agreed strategies and plans, ensuring project baseline cost and schedule requirements are met or exceeded without compromising safety or quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide construction expertise and input during constructability and HAZOP/HAZCON.
* Deliver fit-for-purpose construction work scope to an agreed strategy and plan to meet or better project baseline cost and schedule requirements without compromising safety or quality.
* Conduct risk management exercises and ensure outputs are embedded within the construction work scope.
* Carry out readiness reviews to ensure project readiness, including availability of resources, procurement, and equipment.
* Ensure a proactive approach to nuclear safety and optimize safety on the construction site.
* Manage quality throughout construction activities to ensure STC processes can be completed timely upon work completion.
* Prepare, review, and approve key documents to support construction activities.
* Ensure key information is received as part of the process 33, meets CDM requirements, and is suitable for commercial tender response.
* Manage day-to-day interactions with Project Manager (PM) and Project Engineer (PE) to minimize risks to programme activities.
* Track and report Non-Productive Time (NPT) to minimize risks to the programme and future projects.
* Develop SQEP discipline personnel.
* Engage and instruct subcontracted works.
* Lead and develop the team to improve efficiency in delivering construction activities.
* Accept, reject, or implement corrections to construction work.
* Manage acceptance of Pre-construction information ensuring CDM and task-specific requirements are met.

* NVQ Level 6 Construction Management Qualification
* Manager Health & Safety Test
* CSCS Card
* Discipline-specific professionally recognised qualification
