Job Role - Deputy Care Manager
Location - Oswestry, Shropshire, UK
Setting - 3-bed EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) residential children’s home
Employment Type - Full-time, Permanent
Working Pattern - 2 on / 4 off shift pattern (banked hours – 40 hours/week) + sleep-ins
Key Responsibilities
Support the Registered Manager in overseeing daily operations of the children’s home
Lead, mentor and supervise care staff
Ensure safeguarding and quality care practices are maintained
Support care planning, staff rotas and compliance with Ofsted standards
Participate in on-call duties and sleep-ins as per rota
Requirements
• Level 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
• Experience in residential childcare – essential
• Previous senior or team leader experience – desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence – essential
• Access to own vehicle with business insurance – essential
