We are a independent family owned service and mot centre in Runcorn and we are looking for a workshop experienced technician to join the team. We have a very loyal customer databaseand great reviews. We are customer centric and need someone who will be able to converse with out customer on occasion.

This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. The successful candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient with hand and power tools. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive technology to develop their skills within a professional environment.
Hours Monday - Friday 8 -5 NO WEEKENDS Salary is experience dependent, your experience will dictate the salary but it will be between £33,000 - £36000

Responsibilities
* Conduct inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues
* Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, brakes, suspension, transmission, and other vehicle systems
* Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and replacements
* Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals
* Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used
* Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
* Assist with vehicle testing post-repair to confirm issues have been resolved
Requirements
* Proven mechanical knowledge with a level 3 imi / nvq or time served experience
* Experience with cambelt changes a definite advantage
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Organisational skills with attention to detail
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology
* A valid driving licence. And own tools to carry out servicing and maintenance
You will ideally live within 15 miles of Runcorn for commuting purposes or be willing to relocate
We have a fully equipped workshop with all the specific tools required
This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to advance their career in vehicle maintenance and repair
