The Royal International Air Tattoo has been running for over 50 years and is staged in support of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust. We are seeking a dynamic and personable Customer Engagement Executive. This is a new role in a revamped department at the heart of the largest airshow in the world. You will have the freedom to develop the role and make it your own, using an entrepreneurial, proactive, solution‑oriented approach to build relationships, maintain detail and take satisfaction in delivering results.


Main Duties of the Role

* Support the promotion, selling, coordination and delivery of Showground commercial activities for consumer commercial partners, including retail traders, exhibitors, interactive activity providers, content partners, sponsor and brand activations.
* Deliver a high level of customer service, coordinating partner requirements.
* Ensure contract fulfilment, strengthen existing relationships and develop new business with a focus on revenue and profit growth.
* Accurately record, invoice and enter all sales activities in MS Excel and CRM systems.
* Coordinate RIAT Showground commercial administration, including insurance and health & safety documentation.
* Support the Customer Engagement team to ensure smooth onboarding experiences and high levels of customer service.
* Coordinate RIAT merchandising experiences and online store, managing product research, stock, order fulfilment and click‑and‑collect items on site.
* Assist the Head of Business Development and Customer Care in recruiting, training and managing temporary staff and volunteers for the Customer Engagement teams.
* Support the overall Customer Experience Department to deliver a successful RIAT event.


Education

* GCSE standard or higher.
* Suitable further education, including college and/or university, ideally in a relevant sector.


Experience

* Experience in admin, sales, marketing or customer‑facing roles.
* Desirable experience in the events or hospitality sector.


Skills

* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office knowledge.
* Desirable knowledge of customer relationship management for consumer markets.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, comfortable presenting to all management levels.
* Good numerate skills.
* Strong organisational and negotiation skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and deliver within agreed timescales and deadlines.
* The ability to remain calm under pressure in a solution‑based environment.
