Children's Support Worker

We are excited to expand our team to support more children and their families at home. Providing support to children and young people in their own homes helps parents and carers get a good night's sleep.
The role involves clinical skills training, which will be provided. We prefer candidates with some experience in the clinical skills listed below.
We offer an individualized induction program to ensure new starters are confident and competent in each skill.
Team members provide clinical care in children's homes, enabling parents to take a break from their caring responsibilities.

Job responsibilities
* Provide care directly to children requiring specific interventions to maintain their quality of life
* Carry out nursing care tasks according to the child's care plan, meeting physical, emotional, and educational needs
* Assist with personal care and use of equipment for safe handling and mobility
* Participate in assessments and care plan reviews, liaising with the team to ensure effective care delivery
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Completed the Care Certificate or willing to undertake it
* Additional safeguarding training
* Wider clinical skills training
Experience
* Working with children with complex needs
* Communicating with non-verbal children
* Experience of lone working and night shifts
Skills
* Wide range of clinical skills delivery
* Supporting children with enteral feeding
* Caring for children with respiratory issues
Knowledge
* Safeguarding practices

Salary: £26,530 to £29,114 per year. Additional enhancements are paid for unsocial hours.
