Alison Gray Recruitment are seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for our well-established client in Mallusk. Location: Mallusk Pay: £29,000 per annum Shift Pattern: Monday Friday, 6am to 2.30pm daily. Optional weekend overtime for receiving goods, overtime for monthly stock count Role Purpose The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the storage and warehouse facility. This role oversees day-to-day warehouse activities, stock handling, product integrity, inventory control, and team supervision to ensure contractual, operational, and quality standards are met. The position acts as the first-line leader onsite, supporting both the Operations Manager and Contract Manager in delivering operational KPIs and service levels. Key Responsibilities Operational Management Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, handling, relabelling, pallet rebuilding and dispatch of milk powder. Ensure adherence to product quality standards, hygiene requirements, and contamination control. Plan and allocate workloads, labour, equipment, and resources to meet operational targets. Monitor warehouse performance and support continuous improvement initiatives. Inventory & Documentation Maintain accurate stock records, batch traceability, and system updates. Manage cycle counts, reconciliation, and reporting in line with contractual requirements. Ensure correct documentation for inbound and outbound goods, including compliance certificates and transport paperwork. Compliance, Quality & Safety Uphold food safety regulations, HACCP, GMP, and relevant industry standards. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies, SOPs, and environmental requirements. Lead incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions. Support audits from customers, regulatory bodies, and certification agencies. People Leadership Supervise warehouse operatives, contractors, and forklift drivers. Provide on-the-job coaching, performance feedback, and support training needs. Manage staffing levels, shift patterns, and absenteeism alongside Operations Manager and Contract manager. Promote a positive, safety-first culture. Customer & Stakeholder Coordination Liaise with transport partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to manage inbound/outbound schedules. Support the Contract Manager in meeting service level obligations. Communicate operational issues, risks, and updates in a timely manner. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Stock accuracy and traceability On-time dispatch and receiving performance Zero product contamination / quality deviation Health & Safety compliance and incident reduction Labour efficiency and productivity targets Contractual service level adherence Skills, Experience & Qualifications Essential Proven experience in warehouse or logistics supervision. Experience handling food, powdered goods, or similar regulated products. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Competent with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office. Valid forklift licence (or ability to obtain). Desirable Experience within dairy, food manufacturing, or bulk storage environments. IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent safety training. Knowledge of export requirements, sampling, or quality testing processes. Personal Attributes Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills. Working Conditions Monday Friday, 6am to 2.30pm daily.
