We're Hiring - On behalf of one of our local government clients, we are currently recruiting for an experienced and highly motivated Project Officer to join the Children’s Services Transformation team at the London Borough of Enfield. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills to contribute to significant service improvement projects that directly impact children and families across the borough. The position is offered on a temporary basis for an initial three months, with a strong possibility of extension, subject to performance and available budgets. Role Overview As a Project Officer, you will work closely with the Director of Children’s Service Transformation and the Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of change initiatives across Children’s Services. This role plays a key part in ensuring governance standards are upheld, project documentation is maintained, and progress is effectively monitored and reported. Key Responsibilities * Support the planning and delivery of transformation initiatives within Children’s Services. * Coordinate project governance activities, including the preparation of reports, documentation, and meeting materials. * Conduct process mapping, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement to resolve project-related issues. * Support the identification, tracking, and mitigation of project risks and issues. * Monitor and track the realisation of project and programme-level benefits. * Assist with formal documentation of project plans, timelines, and deliverables. * Organise internal meetings and events, including venue coordination and the preparation of board papers. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will demonstrate: * Proven experience in a project officer or project support role, preferably within a local authority or public sector setting. * Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * High level of proficiency in MS Office tools and familiarity with project management methodologies and systems. * A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving and collaboration.
