Main duties of the job
To provide secretarial support
Experience of working in a GP Practice preferred but not essential
Toassist the Practice with all clerical and administrative duties.

Job responsibilities
To assist the Practice with all medical secretarial duties
To make appointments, bookings and admissions asrequired.
To establish and maintain filing and administrativesystems so that written or computer information is easily accessible andsecure.
To provide an efficient secretarial service for GPs andassociated health professionals as required in linewith current policies, procedures and systems.
To assist clinical staff by obtaining information aboutthe progress of referrals when requested.
To receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone callsin order to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others,taking messages and dealing with appropriate queries.
To maintain the computer clinic system in an accurate andsecure manner.
To provide cover for members of the admin team duringperiods of sickness and annual leave.
To receive and dispatch mail and maintain a pendingsystem in line with the protocols of the Practice.
To participate in the induction and training of new teammembers to ensure they meet their objectives.
To ensure all individually attended training sessions arecascaded to all members of the Practice team.
To undertake any other duties commensurate with the scopeof the role and within your skill set as requested.
