The Client
We’re partnering with a well‑established, product‑led technology business delivering large‑scale, high‑impact software solutions used across the UK. Their platforms process billions of transactions annually and support critical, real‑world systems used by millions of people every day. With a strong reputation for innovation, reliability, and customer delivery, they are continuing to invest in modern, cloud‑native technologies and are expanding their engineering capability to support new product development and market growth.
The Candidate
We’re looking to speak with experienced Infrastructure or Systems Engineers who enjoy working across a broad technology environment and taking ownership of critical IT infrastructure. You’ll have strong experience supporting Windows Server environments alongside core infrastructure technologies such as Hyper‑V, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and Microsoft Intune. This role would suit someone who enjoys a hands‑on position, is naturally proactive when troubleshooting issues, and takes pride in delivering secure, reliable, and high‑performing systems. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, collaborating with wider technical teams, and supporting both operational BAU activity and infrastructure improvement projects.
The Role
This is a key infrastructure position focused on the support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s core IT estate. Working as part of an established technical team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining Windows‑based infrastructure environments, supporting virtualised platforms, managing server and networking hardware, and helping ensure systems remain secure, stable, and highly available. The environment is varied and hands‑on, offering exposure across infrastructure operations, hardware management, security, and modernisation initiatives. This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 4 days per week onsite, offering the opportunity to work closely with the wider technical team in a collaborative, hands‑on environment.

* Ensure systems remain secure, patched, and compliant with best practices.

* Provide technical support across the wider business.
Requirements
* Experience supporting Hyper‑V environments.
* Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

* Knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Entra ID/Azure AD.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
* Experience working within structured IT environments and best practices.
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
* Containerisation technologies.
* Exposure to software development or cloud‑based infrastructure environments.
