Job Title: Mobile Water Treatment Engineer
Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: West or South Yorkshire - ideally based along the M62/M1 corridor (e.g. Leeds, Wakefield, Barnsley, Sheffield, Huddersfield)
Hours: Full-time, permanent
Reports to: Service Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Water Treatment Engineer to join our growing service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of water treatment, hygiene, and compliance services to clients across commercial, industrial, and institutional sites. This is a field-based role that offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work with a well-established and reputable company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out routine water treatment and hygiene services, including:
o Cooling tower and closed system analysis
o L8 compliance monitoring and remedial works
o Temperature checks, TMV servicing, and disinfections
o Legionella sampling and chemical dosing
* Conduct site inspections, prepare service reports, and ensure full compliance with company and client standards.
* Diagnose system issues and provide appropriate technical solutions or recommendations.
* Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with the office and clients.
* Ensure all work is carried out safely, in line with company Health & Safety policies and relevant legislation.
* Represent the company professionally at all times and help maintain long-term customer relationships.
Skills & Experience Required:
Essential:
* Previous experience in a similar mobile water treatment or water hygiene engineering role.
* Good knowledge of water treatment systems, Legionella control, and associated regulations (ACoP L8 / HSG274).
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the region.
* Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
Desirable:
* City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Water Treatment or Legionella Awareness.
* Experience with closed system analysis and chemical dosing equipment.
* CSCS card, confined space, or other relevant safety qualifications.
