Job overview We are looking for a Consultant Radiologist with an interest in adult neuroradiology to join our team of two neuroradiologists. A secondary interest in Head and Neck imaging is desirable.
Main duties and responsibilities
Comply with Trust policies for patient care administration.
Set timely triage of imaging requests and complete discharge summaries before patient discharge.
Manage DNA patients and document all necessary paperwork within agreed timescales.
Work with service managers and clinical colleagues to manage caseload, ensuring clinical, national and local priorities such as maximum waiting times are achieved.
Collaborate with neuro‑oncology, ophthalmology, primary care and inpatient/outpatient referrals.
Participate in clinical governance, audit, and research activities within the unit.
Person specification Qualifications & Training
Full and specialist registration in Clinical Radiology with the GMC.
Eligible for specialist registration within 6 months of interview.
Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent, within six months of award.
FRCR or equivalent.
Teaching or training qualifications.
Experience
Broad training and experience in general and neuroradiology.
Ability to deliver service independently.
Neuroradiology fellowship.
Experience in Head and Neck radiology, neck USS and interventional procedures.
Experience working within the UK hospital system.
Clinical knowledge & skills
Knowledge of clinical governance in practice.
