This is a hands-on role sitting at the heart of portfolio governance, working closely with Project Managers, Finance, and senior stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy, discipline, and control across a complex, fast-moving environment.What you'll be doingFinancial ownership is the core of this role. You'll manage the full financial lifecycle of the Change Portfolio - budgets, forecasts, actuals, accruals, variances, and financial controls - and act as the single point of accountability for PMO financial governance. That includes owning the Deal Approval Request process end-to-end, supporting all major financial events across the year, and producing clear portfolio-level reporting with meaningful commentary on risks, issues, and trends. You'll actively challenge project managers on their forecasts and assumptions where needed.On the governance side, you'll support the review and approval of key project and programme artefacts, carry out quality audits of project documentation, and proactively identify and escalate any control or compliance concerns.
