Wage: £16,640 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age. National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices.
Hours: Monday to Friday, between 8.00am - 4.30pm – 40 hours a week.
Duration: 1 year (until Sunday 4 October 2026).
Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands‑on experience.

* Purchasing and ordering materials and equipment
* Carrying out other general accountancy work

Training
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
* Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation – writing letters or emails, creating proposals, performing financial processes, recording and analysing data.
* Produces accurate records and documents – emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals – and makes recommendations for improvements.
* Exercises proactivity and good judgement, making effective decisions and seeking advice when appropriate.
* Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation.
* Demonstrates good communication skills across multiple channels.
* Completes tasks to a high standard, continuously improving work and resolving challenges.
* Manages priorities, time and resources, organising meetings and events, taking minutes and action logs, and handling logistics.
* Uses relevant project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor and report, and leads projects when required.
* Works towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard in Business Administrator.
* Apprenticeship consists of a mixture of off-the-job training and on-the-job mentoring and development within the workplace.
* Expected to attend Cornwall College, St Austell, on a fortnightly basis, with additional attendance as required.
Requirements
* GCSE in Maths (grade 4/C)
* Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience; the apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
