Your new roleWe are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a well-established Special Educational Needs (SEN) school catering to pupils aged 4–16. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health challenges.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. You’ll help deliver tailored learning activities, provide one-to-one and small group support, and assist with personal care and behaviour management where required.What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have:
1. Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN setting
2. A patient, empathetic and resilient approach to supporting pupils withplex needs
3. Strongmunication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
4. Amitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
5. Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, or willingness to train
