Role Overview
Our client is looking for a Java Developer to join them on a contract basis for 6 months, outside IR35 with hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain Java (11+) / Spring Boot microservices.
* Integrate and deploy AI/ML models into production systems.
* Work closely with data science teams to operationalise models (APIs, pipelines).
* Build and support event-driven architectures (Kafka).
* Ensure FS-grade security, compliance, testing, and reliability.
* Deploy services to cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure) via CI/CD.
Qualifications
* Strong Java & Spring Boot engineering background.
* Proven experience integrating AI/ML into live applications.
* Cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure).
* SQL/NoSQL database experience.
* Background in Financial Services (payments, trading, risk, fraud, etc).
Nice-to-Have
* Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform.
* ML model serving (MLflow, Seldon, SageMaker).
* Experience with low-latency or high-availability FS systems.
