Working alongside Policy and Product Owners, you’ll support the delivery of a brand new area of regulation in Ofgem. Your role will be to work closely with the Deputy Director and Head of TPI Regulation to manage a number of multi-disciplinary teams in both policy and digital delivery. You will have oversight and responsibility for projects from start to finish including scoping, building delivery roadmaps, making visible dependencies and risks to enable delivery of key milestones. Through reporting, you will give the Deputy Director clear oversight of the delivery status of the workstreams within the project, support in managing and monitoring resource, budgeting and risks. You will also be feeding into organisational-wide reporting and business planning. There’s a great deal of autonomy in the role and you’ll collaborate with all kinds of teams across Ofgem such as Compliance, Enforcement, Market Monitoring, Comms and Heat Networks. It’s highly varied and challenging work that will ultimately help us better serve millions of people across the UK.
As this is a new area of regulation it is a great opportunity to shape the approach to delivering this big project and we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with demonstratable experience of delivering large time‑critical programmes of work with multiple workstreams using agile principles/tools and techniques.

Our Senior Delivery Manager will coordinate a number of policy areas within the new team and potentially wider. This will entail bringing together a number of teams working on different elements of a wider programme of work to ensure visibility of work, understand any dependencies and risks to delivery and most importantly ensure policy alignment of the wider programme work. The delivery manager will also manage the governance processes and ensure relevant reporting into Ofgem central teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver projects using Agile methodologies, act as scrum master, leading and coordinating Agile ceremonies (stand up/planning/retrospectives/show and tell).
* Work with the Head of TPI’s and Policy Leads (Product Owners) to define the roadmap for any given product or project and support the team to break work down to stories they can deliver (using Jira).
* Protect the team from outside distraction and make sure the team collaborates, communicates and focuses on mutually agreed priorities.
* Facilitation of / support set up and delivery of workshops to support policy delivery.
* Own and deliver project delivery status reporting (sprint reports fortnightly and GEMA reporting monthly) including tracking and reporting delivery against milestones, risks, dependencies.
* Management of governance of processes:
o ensure a robust governance process is in place so we are clear of decision pathways and RACI.
o Risks/issue management including identifying, management and reporting risks/issues/delivery.
o Dependency mapping (for visibility) and management of dependencies;
o Decision recording so we have a clear audit trail and evidence of all key decisions.
* Coordinating comms and stakeholder engagement activity.
* Planning of any future policy work and associated resource requirements.
* Lead and develop a team to deliver consistently high performance against objectives.

* Fortnightly sprint reports.
