You must be a driver with access to your own car.
This role involves travel within the community to support patients in their own homes. As such, a full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential requirements for this post.
Main duties of the job
As a vital member of our ward team, you will deliver direct, compassionate care to our patients. Your core duties will include supporting patients with their personal care needs, such as washing, dressing, and toileting. You will actively assist patients with their mobility, using appropriate techniques to help them move safely and comfortably.
A key part of your role will involve performing and recording essential clinical observations, like taking temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse rates, and promptly reporting any changes to the nursing team. You will also help to ensure patient comfort and nutrition by serving meals, assisting with feeding where necessary, and making beds.
Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in communicating with patients, offering reassurance and a listening ear. You will also assist the wider team with preparing equipment and maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.

Job responsibilities
To provide high-quality, compassionate personal and clinical care to patients across a variety of healthcare settings under the direction and supervision of a registered healthcare professional. The postholder will be a flexible and reliable member of the agency team, adapting to different clinical environments to support our clients needs.
2. Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care Duties
Assist registered nurses and other team members with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans.
Perform, record, and report accurately on routine clinical observations including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration rate, and oxygen saturation.
Support patients with all aspects of personal care, including washing, dressing, oral care, and toileting, ensuring their privacy and dignity is maintained at all times.
Assist patients with nutritional and hydration needs, including serving meals and providing support with feeding and drinking.
Use correct techniques and equipment to safely assist patients with mobility, movement, and repositioning.
Undertake routine clinical procedures such as venepuncture (if competent), ECG recording, and simple wound dressings as directed.

* This is an agency worker position with no guaranteed hours.
* You must be a driver with access to your own vehicle, as this role may involve travel between different trust locations.
* Flexibility is required to work a variety of shifts, including early, late, nights, weekends, and bank holidays, across various healthcare settings.
