We are looking for an experienced Electrical Technical Manager to join the Technical Contract Support Team at Thermatic Technical FM.
As a Thermatic Technical Manager, you will provide technical support to defined contract teams, offering technical quotations and managing the delivery of minor works. You will also provide technical guidance to support contract management, ensuring smooth and efficient operations and driving continuous improvement.
Thermatic Technical FM provides nationwide coverage across a broad spectrum of Hard FM services to large, commercial clients. Our team of mobile engineers is supported by the account teams at Head Office to deliver reactive breakdown and planned maintenance services.

Hours & Location of Work:
Main location: Our head office is based in Salford, Manchester. Flexible working is available, but the role requires office presence and regular site visits.
Regular hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (40 hours/week)
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Behaviours:
* Minimum 7 years' experience as an electrical or Building Services engineer
* Minimum 3 years as a Technical Manager
* Electrical qualifications such as 18th Edition, C&G Level 2 or 3
* Broad technical knowledge across disciplines
* Technical Qualifications (F-Gas, Gas Safe, NICEIC, Building Services)
* Safety Qualifications (CSCS, IOSH, NEBOSH, Risk Assessment)
* HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services (desirable)
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Excellent communication skills
* Collaborative approach
* Attention to detail and organizational skills
* Effective time management and prioritization
Responsibilities include:
* Producing technical M&E quotations and assessments, ensuring quality of site engineer information for client submissions
* Managing delivery and safety of quoted works within your client base with support from contract administration staff
* Driving Minor Works through existing infrastructure to facilitate delivery
* Reviewing WIP reports to identify and produce quotes for M&E work
* Collaborating with the Projects department on smaller scale works and supporting larger projects
* Identifying process improvement opportunities and providing solutions
* Monitoring client portals for concerns or opportunities, managing non-compliance
* Booking works with customers prior to execution
* Working with compliance & HSE managers to ensure quality and safety standards
* Identifying seasonal workload and assisting with resource scheduling
* Ensuring supply chain adequacy for efficient job completion
* Proactively producing quotations for failure points on client sites
* Reviewing mitigation reports to improve profitability and operations
* Developing and maintaining client relationships to understand needs and expectations
* Enforcing NICEIC compliance through reporting and monitoring
* Managing legislative compliance, including certification procedures
