Data & Systems Lead (SQL / Development Focus) – Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Salary: up to £50,000
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)
Location: Onsite in Scarborough, with flexibility to work from home during non-peak periods.

You’ll take ownership of IT and data across the business, ensuring systems are robust, secure, and driving real value. This role is ideal for someone who’s still hands-on but wants to lead, influence, and grow with the potential to join the senior leadership team in the future.
What You’ll Do
* Take ownership of IT and data strategy, balancing hands-on technical work with leadership and improvement projects.
* Design, build, and maintain SQL databases - developing bespoke platforms and tools for end customers.
* Manage data integrations, reporting, and performance using SQL, SSIS, and SSRS.
* Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, storage, and security (ISO27001 compliance).
* Support production, CRM, and logistics systems, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
* Lead data accuracy, security, and business continuity initiatives.
* Mentor a small IT team and build strong relationships across the business.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience with SQL, database design, and data integration.
* Knowledge of coding and developing bespoke platforms or tools.
* Experience in fast-paced technical environments.
* A balance of technical know-how and people skills - you can explain data clearly and influence decision-makers.
