IMultiply are supporting a well-established and values-led organisation based in Edinburgh, to recruit a part-time Finance Manager on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join a collaborative and purpose-driven business.
The Role
This role sits within a close-knit and supportive business and will play a pivotal role in producing accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. Working closely with company directors, the successful candidate will be involved in day-to-day financial operations and help drive improvements in processes and reporting.
As the P/T Finance Manager, you will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:
* Preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts, with commentary and analysis
* Reconciling key balance sheet accounts including cash, prepayments, accruals, and fixed assets
* Providing expenditure analysis vs. budget/forecast, highlighting variances and contributing to cost control
* Handling all day to day transactional finance duties
* Will support and oversee Credit Controller in the team
* Supporting the annual budget and monthly forecasting process
* Managing credit card and expense processing in line with company policy
* Supporting audit preparation and ensuring compliance with internal controls
* Contributing to cross-departmental collaboration including onboarding of new suppliers/customers
* Driving continuous improvement and sharing knowledge within the finance team
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following:
* Proven experience in a management accounting role, ideally within an SME environment
* Strong understanding of core finance processes and reporting requirements
* Part-qualified, fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/CA), or qualified by experience
* Advanced Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, data analysis functions)
* Confident communicator – able to explain financial data clearly to non-finance colleagues
* Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative, with strong organisational skills
* Experience with Xero would prove beneficial
