About the Role
As a product manager for Elsevier’s global Submissions, you will enable growth of knowledge, research and innovation for our researcher community .As par t of our team, you will work within the wider publishing experience. You will be part o f a cr os s-func tional, agile squad of eng ineers, UX, subject-matter experts and analysts to crea te a state-of-the-art user experience for article publication. Strong c ollaboration with stakeholders in Technology, Operations and Publishing will grow trust & build alignment. C reating solutions that are data-driven will contribute to our innovative culture for our digital submission products and services. Y ou will motivate researchers in their engagement with the scientific peer review process and inspire authors to return to Elsevier for the best experience from submission to trusted publication .
Responsibilities
* Close collaboration with Data Science to explore and validate thoughtful application of ai solutions in the peer review workflow
* Balancing between quantitative and qualitative data needed for decision-making through the product lifecyle
* Applying data, including effective use of KPIs and OKRs, to drive commercial decisions and growth opportunities for the product
* Driving key end-to-end lifecycle components, from planning to release
* Evangelising and aligning with cross-department product management to develop product vision and roadmap plan aligned with business strategy and communicates across all critical stakeholders
* Understanding the competitive landscape to inform how you can differentiate your product & service
* Defining and interpreting A/B tests that help answer critical questions about the impact of changes to our product
Requirements:
* Experience in a quantitative role navigating highly ambiguous environments
* Recognized as full owner of a product or sizable feature of a complex product.
* Is passionate about frequent product customer engagements that lead to positive commercial outcomes.
* Able to understand technology trade-offs made in the product, at a high level
* 5+ years digital product management experience.
