Job Title: Finance Manager Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum Location: Onsite (Office-based) - Free Parking Available Reporting to: Managing Director Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Finance Manager to join our clients leadership and support team. This is a key role within the organisation, responsible for overseeing the full finance function, producing accurate and timely financial information, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role is primarily office-based, offering excellent working conditions, a collaborative team environment, and free onsite parking. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Accounting Produce monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, commentary, and insights for senior leadership. Prepare financial accounts in accordance with relevant accounting standards. Maintain and reconcile accounts to trial balance. Oversee month-end and year-end processes. Support the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors. Ensure accurate and timely posting of journals, accruals, and prepayments. Budgeting & Forecasting Assist the Managing Director and department heads with annual budgeting and forecasting. Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide analysis and recommendations. Cashflow & Financial Control Manage cashflow forecasting and monitoring, ensuring appropriate controls are in place. Oversee bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and credit control processes. Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Operations & Process Improvement Oversee day-to-day finance operations, ensuring smooth running of the finance function. Review and improve financial processes, systems, and reporting tools. Support operational teams with financial insights and analysis. Leadership & Collaboration Work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team to support strategic decision-making. Build effective working relationships across college departments. Supervise and mentor junior finance staff (if applicable). Skills & Experience Required Part-qualified, fully qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or qualified by experience. Strong experience in producing management accounts and financial accounts.
