They are currently delivering key infrastructure works at Sizewell C and are seeking a skilled Welding Construction Project Engineer to join their team. Role Overview: The Welding Construction Project Engineer will be responsible for managing and overseeing welding and fabrication activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. The successful candidate will act as the technical lead for welding-related construction activities, coordinating between engineering, site teams, and subcontractors to deliver project objectives efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Manage and supervise welding and fabrication activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications. Review and implement welding procedures, codes, and standards, ensuring compliance with relevant quality and safety regulations. Liaise with design, engineering, and construction teams to resolve technical issues related to welding and fabrication. Conduct inspections, audits, and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets project and industry standards. Monitor performance of subcontractors, providing technical guidance and support as required. Support project documentation, reporting, and progress tracking related to welding and fabrication works. Ensure all work is carried out safely, maintaining compliance with site safety policies and regulatory requirements. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience in welding engineering or welding construction within large-scale industrial or energy projects. Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ISO, BS EN). Experience with QA/QC procedures and inspection processes in construction projects. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Excellent communication and team coordination skills. Relevant welding engineering or construction qualification (e.g., BEng/MEng in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent). Desirable: Experience on nuclear, energy, or large infrastructure projects. Familiarity with health and safety standards in construction and welding environments.
