An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 5 named nurse to work with patients undergoing renal replacement therapy at home. Previous experience in renal/haemodialysis is desirable but not essential, as full in-house training and support will be given. The team you will be joining is dedicated to training of both staff and patients. You Also Need To Be Excellent communication skills. Ability to work as part of a team or independently. A positive and proactive attitude. A desire to deliver a high standard of care to chronically ill patients Flexible working will be considered. Undertaking adequacy tests/training/refreshers to ensure patient safety at home undertaking their treatment. Main duties involved are of training patients on both Peritoneal dialysis (CAPD & APD) and haemodialyis (Nx Stage machine/5008s), ensuring a high standard of care is maintained throughout Undertake the named nurse Carrying out Adequacy tests including PET/UKM's for Peritoneal dialysis patient. Working as part of a team within the wider multi-disciplinary team. Under take home visits regularly and being a car driver is essential.
