Medcall is a leading healthcare agency that supplies non-clinical staff, caregivers and nurses to various hospitals, rest homes, aged care and community services across New Zealand. Many of our clients have large retirement villages with commercial kitchens, cafés, and laundries.
We are looking for CHEFS to join our team of casual staff in Tauranga, Mt Maunganui & Papamoa regions.
We offer flexibility to work around other commitments, and the ability to choose when and where you work.
We are looking for experienced Chefs to:
1. Oversee and manage the dining services team in busy kitchens within rest home/hospital/retirement villages.
2. Coordinate all aspects of kitchen food service delivery.
3. Ensure all residents enjoy meals created with love, creativity & passion!
4. Meet all food quality, budgetary & hygiene standards.
5. Lead and inspire the kitchen team, delivering meals at a high standard.
6. Maintain a clean, efficient, welcoming workspace.
You will need:
7. Food industry (Chef) qualification.
8. 2 years+ experience working in a busy commercial kitchen or café.
9. A Food Safety Certificate.
10. Excellent food hygiene skills, and excellent personal hygiene.
11. Amazing customer service, time management, communication and leadership skills.
12. Ability to manage a team in a busy food preparation environment.
13. Access to reliable transport to travel to our clients’ facilities.
14. Reliability, motivation & passion for what you do.
