Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead projects from concept through commissioning. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll manage design, budgets, schedules, and ensure compliance with industry standards. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory authorities to deliver high-quality mechanical systems for complex facilities.
What You’ll Do
* Act as lead mechanical engineer on projects, guiding design and execution.
* Review and approve engineering work for accuracy and compliance.
* Manage project budgets and timelines.
* Design and oversee piping, ductwork, and mechanical systems.
* Coordinate with government authorities for permits and approvals.
* Specify and select equipment (pumps, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, relief valves).
* Collaborate with electrical engineers and vendors.
* Oversee installation, inspections, and commissioning.
* Provide training and final documentation to clients.
* Travel occasionally (5–20% domestic and international).
What We’re Looking For
* Degree: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.
* Experience: 7–10 years in mechanical engineering at senior level.
* Licenses: EIT required; PE registration strongly preferred.
* Technical Expertise:Facility mechanical systems (piping, pumps, heat exchangers, relief devices).
* Hydraulic, thermal, and code calculations.
* Knowledge of piping materials and design.
* Soft Skills:Strong communication and leadership.
* Analytical problem-solving.
* Time management and ability to deliver on budget/schedule.
Work Environment
* Office-based with site visits (may involve dust, noise, chemicals, uneven terrain).
* Must be physically able to walk, climb, crouch, and lift up to 25 lbs.
* Occasional domestic and international travel.
