Software Dev Engineer II, Prime MG Tech - Customer Experience Engineering
Ever wondered what powers the content experiences seen by hundreds of millions of Prime members across every Amazon marketplace on the planet? Prime Customer Experience Engineering (CXE) provides the governance and technical backbone for the development lifecycle of every Prime experience, spanning the CX layer and the wiring that connects it to the data sources behind it. We own the core framework for building and maintaining Prime CX widgets and the content experimentation systems for every Prime experience. Together, these systems power Prime CXs across functions like acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention, across channels including .com, email, notification, text, and WhatsApp — ensuring Prime-owned CXs, which drive roughly 70% of Prime member growth, scale consistently and reliably.
Key job responsibilities
* Build the GenAI-powered future of Prime experiences — design and develop Agentcore infrastructure, multi-agent orchestration, and autonomous experimentation capabilities.
* Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market — from natural language program configuration to AI-driven CX generation.
* Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment, including Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication frameworks, ML-powered recommendation engines, and real-time event-driven orchestration systems.
* Create solutions that run at incredible scale and speed — our platform serves hundreds of millions of Prime customers across dozens of countries, processing millions of state transitions daily.
* Build distributed, fault-tolerant systems that are scalable, low cost, and easy to manage — from experience orchestration engines to incentive management platforms.
* Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems — you’ll own features end‑to‑end, from architecture to production deployment.
* Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software with development cycles measured in weeks, not years.

This approach allows us to address churn by providing personalized, relevant experiences at each stage of the customer journey.
Basic Qualifications
* 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
* Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object‑oriented design.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
