Job Description:

We currently seeking an outstanding individual to join us as a Higher Education (HE) Disability and Inclusion Manager.
The postholder will be responsible for managing the HE Disability Practitioner & DSA Advisors and ensuring all students with disabilities and learning differences are well supported and enabled to thrive both within and beyond University Centre Weston (UCW).
This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week.
Key duties and responsibilities
* Advising HE staff on inclusive curriculum approach and inclusive teaching methods, including alternative assessment methods which are appropriate to HE.
* Supporting UCW staff in student interviews, responding to needs requirements for students declaring a disability, specific learning difference o additional support need as necessary.
* Supporting Learning Walks and Lesson Observations to drive UCW's Universal Design for Learning Framework (UDLF), assessing impact of the framework, producing reports, completing online audits and updating the approach as required.
Required skills and qualifications
* A Degree or equivalent qualification in an appropriate area.
* Hold or be working towards a teaching qualification with experience of lesson observations and developmental feedback.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team, setting high standards for yourself and others.
* Knowledge and understanding of the impact of learning differences, disabilities and mental health diagnosis on academic engagement.
