An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join the Litigation team of one of Yorkshire’s most respected regional law firms, specialising in Contentious Probate.
This role can be based out of the regional firms Leeds or Huddersfield offices, offering hybrid working.

With a national reputation for client care and social justice, the firm continues to expand and is now seeking a confident, proactive NQ Solicitor to join its supportive and close‑knit litigation team.
The Role
You will join a busy, collaborative department handling a varied caseload of contentious probate matters, including disputes relating to wills, probate and estate administration, inheritance tax, trusts, powers of attorney, Court of Protection, and financial abuse.
This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be encouraged to manage your own files and develop strong client relationships early on.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a caseload of litigation matters under supervision
* Assisting senior solicitors with complex cases
* Delivering excellent client care and communication
* Meeting agreed billing and time‑recording targets
* Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory obligations
* Supporting business development initiatives and promoting the team’s profile
* Assisting in supervising junior colleagues or administrative staff where required
About You
We’re looking for a motivated, conscientious solicitor who is keen to develop a long‑term career in litigation.
* Qualified Solicitor (newly qualified or qualifying shortly)
* Minimum of six months’ experience in litigation during your training contract (contentious probate experience desirable but not essential)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent attention to detail and a client‑focused approach
* Confident using IT and case management systems
* Willing to participate in firm‑wide initiatives, training, and marketing
